Domino’s Campaign Continues

Domino’s Pizza has done a follow up on their latest rebranding effort. Apparently, admitting their faults and publicizing their efforts regarding a new tasty pizza was just the beginning.

In their previous commercial and documentary Domino’s responded to specific customer complaints. They have now taken their campaign even further.

Their new commercial shows the individuals who criticized Domino’s previously now eating the new recipe. The head chef at Domino’s even delivers each pizza himself.

Check out the short documentary:

Their thorough approach at rebranding is encouraging. Those who hated the product before are now saying it’s delicious!

Have they convinced you yet to go try a slice?

Forgotten Marketing Tool

Have we forgotten about one of the best marketing tools out there?

While pulling together dinner for my family the other night (aka: ordering pizza), I was scrambling around for the delivery phone number. Rather than looking through stacks of coupons or trudging downstairs to the computer, I took the easy road.

“Dad! What is the pizza number?”

“Look on the refrigerator!”

Right in front of me was the miracle marketing tool I earlier referred to: magnets! From all the pizza places we have ordered only Pappa John’s delivered their pizza with a complementary magnet including their phone number.

People may disregard the magnet at first and just throw it onto the fridge to hold up another child’s art piece, but when it comes to “dinner time” that phone number is going to be up front and center. Easy access is SURE to pull in business.

Service industries should really reconsider this form of advertisements. Magnets have been forgotten- none of my marketing courses have even mentioned them. Sure, they may first appear as un-classy, but they work! Really, really work!
