U by Kotex Ads: United States vs. Australia

There has been a lot of talk over the recent U by Kotex commercial. A sarcastic look at past feminine product ads has women all over the U.S. cracking up.

Surprisingly, when I searched YouTube for the “Reality Check” commercial, I stumbled upon their international campaign. The ads were shocking while at the same time somewhat comical. Regardless, I don’t think they would go over well in the U.S..

Watch their U.S. ad and compare it with U by Kotex’s commercials aired in Australia. What do you think about the use of such a bold analogy? If these commercials had been used rather than the recent “Reality Check” would U by Kotex be receiving negative press rather than the current positive?

Male and Female Advertising Collaborates

Typically, AXE commercials appeal to solely guys. Hot chicks chasing after one dude is obviously going to pull in some male customers. I was recently surprised; I actually saw an AXE commercial that I personally liked!

“Women get bored,” is the tag line for new AXE Twist. It’s true, every girl wants a different type of guy for certain situations; a classy guy for nights out on the town, a bad-boy to turn her on, and a romantic for private moments. AXE’s new cologne and commercial depicts a product that delivers all three types of man. Holy cow.

AXE you finally made a commercial that appeals to both sexes! Girls, do you agree?
